Community Health Worker (Spring 2021)

- Class provides training to become a Community Health Workers (CHW). CHWs are frontline public health workers who have a close understanding and connection to the community they serve. This relationship enables CHWs to serve as a link between health/social services and the community, to facilitate access to services, and improve the quality and cultural competence of service delivery. This 120-hour online course is approved by the Oregon Health Authority for State CHW Certification. Six Saturday sessions are from 9 a.m-3:50 p.m. on 4/10, 4/17, 5/1, 5/22, 6/5 and 6/12. Course is also available for 6 credits, as HC100, at standard tuition rates.
