Description
This course begins with Ethics of Beekeeping and Life of a Bee Hive. Our second class prepares the learner to get equipped for bees by choosing a location, getting equipment and hiving bees. The final class for this season is about managing a colony of Bees. Learners present the beekeeping guidelines of their locality for the class and take quizzes to assess their learning. Text book Storey's Guide to Keeping Honey Bees 2nd Edition is required. Text can be purchased from Amazon for approximately $15. Class will be held remotely using a Zoom virtual classroom. Students must have access to a computer with webcam and microphone to participate.
