Cooperative Work Experience/Massage Seminar (Spring 2021)

- Provides students with strategies for successful experiential learning, including techniques for self-monitoring and tracking progress; sustaining positive relationships with co-workers and supervisors; working with mentors; and basic conflict resolution. Presents information regarding the role played by non-verbal communication, written and unwritten workplace policies, and positive work ethics. Course includes practical instruction regarding the integration of reflective learning with experiential learning and the process of integrating relevant theory and/or outside learning resources with experiential learning. Students will be provided with basic strategies for career advancement, and the theory and practical application of techniques for writing a skills-based resume, effective employment application, and interview skills.
- Zoom Classes: Class will meet during the listed times via Zoom. Information about Zoom-based classes will be available in the course Blackboard shell on the first day of the term. All teachers expect students to participate in the class on the first day of the term. Students not participating during the first day may be subject to administrative drop. Students should have access to a web cam and audio capabilities on their computer to fully participate in a Zoom class. Some Zoom classes are delivered in hybrid format and will have additional course participation requirements outside of Zoom sessions.
