Description
Managing bees is an amazing journey! During the summer months several challenges present and if you started your bees in the spring, by now you are trying to meet the Challenges presented by summer. This intensive is geared toward resolving challenges, getting through the summer and preparing for fall. Curriculum will cover individual issues such as performing mite counts safely, record keeping, determining the best treatment methods for your individual situation, identifying brood problems, collecting and processing honey, equalizing and combining brood, ventilation, feeding and growing your apiary. Cost includes beekeeping text. Students must bring their own beekeeping protective gear to class.
