Apply for Workforce Grant

Spring applications are open and the deadline to apply for spring is April 15, 2022.

Students who collect unemployment benefits may qualify for a Workforce Grant in partnership with RCC. Eligible students can receive a grant of up to $140/credit discount; up to 4 credits, and $250 for books.

Check your claim status with the Online Claim System *

  • Log in to the Oregon Online Claim System. Claims are updated during the night and are generally available in the morning.
  • Click on the tab titled Status of Initial Claim and Other Account Details to view your weekly payment details, claim balance and expiration date, work search records, and UI Basics Review results.
  • Please print the claim balance and expiration information or save it to your computer and send it to recruitment@roguecc.edu to use as verification that you are currently receiving Unemployment benefits.

IMPORTANT: The status of your claim will not be available until your claim has been processed.

* To be eligible, current unemployment benefit status must be verified. Non-credit programs include driver training, CDL truck driver training, and the Community Health Worker program. Not eligible to request a late drop. Funds will be disbursed to students via their selected refund preference with BankMobile Disbursements or a student can request funds be applied to their RCC account balance.

Grants will be processed the 5th week in the term.


Student Account Forgiveness Program*

Apply for Student Account Forgiveness Program

Spring applications are open and the deadline to apply for spring is April 15, 2022.

Students with a balance due to RCC dating between 7/1/14 and  6/20/21 may qualify to get up to $2,000! The Student Account Forgiveness Program Grant is limited to a total of $1.5 Million in funds. Funds will be awarded for balances up to $2000, in the order applications are received, to those qualified students completing at least 3 credits or an eligible non-credit program, and paid in full for any terms attended after June 20, 2021. The current term must be paid in full by the last day of the term in order to remain eligible (Spring Term - June 17, 2022). Funds will be applied to student account balance on the 5th week of each term.

Important!

All grants will be posted to accounts for enrolled students on Thursday of the fifth week of the term.

Students may participate in more than one discount and grant, provided they meet eligibility requirements.
