Goals, Objectives, and Metrics

The following objectives are linked to the RCC 2017-2020 Strategic Plan, Wildly Important Goal 3, Objective 9: “Maximize cross-divisional strategies to solve problems creatively – work together for the success of our students”.

IREP’s first objective is to increase the availability of data for college use in strategic planning, reporting, and improvement. This will be accomplished through the creation of data dashboards, an online data request process, and a functional, up-to-date IREP website to house them.

The completion of the majority of the first objective’s methods will set the stage for IREP’s second objective, which is to increase the understanding and use of data for strategic planning and improvement across the college. The creation of data dashboards (Objective 1.1) will allow important data to be clearly and accurately shared across the college community, and will support RCC’s board, divisions, and departments in their strategic planning processes. Having a functional IREP website (Objective 1.3) will provide a knowledge-sharing hub for RCC data (including dashboards and reports), allow for the standardization of data requests (Objective 1.2), and provide a home for the strategic planning processes overseen by IREP.

The accomplishment of the second objective will be aided by the creation and training of data literacy ambassadors with representation from across the college community (Objective 2.1).  These ambassadors will begin hosting a series of presentations on data and use of the resources created in Objective 1. The IREP department will also record a series of videos on specific data topics (Objective 2.2) and post them to the IREP website for continual reference. Each of these objectives, and their associated methods, works to improve the communication and use of data across divisions so that the college community can work in tandem, with a common understanding, toward the accomplishment of the 2017-20 Strategic Plan.

Wildly Important Goal 3.9: Collaborative Partnerships
