If you are planning on earning a certificate, an associate degree or transfer to another college, you need to take a placement test first.

Test sessions for specific groups can be arranged with three weeks’ notice at the following locations:  Table Rock Campus, Grants Pass Small Business Development Center, Kerby Belt Building, Medford Library, Riverside Campus B Building. Please contact Sue Orris at 956-7195 or sorris@roguecc.edu

When you take the placement test, you will be asked to declare your major. This is very important for advising and for your financial aid application process. If you are not sure what degree you would like to pursue, you can check at our degrees and programs. If you are undecided about what you want to study, you might consider taking the Holland Code Quiz.

Placement tests measure your skills in 3 areas:

  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Mathematics

The test is given on a computer and ensures your success by helping us place you in the appropriate course levels.

The test is free.

Testing is scheduled online by clicking here or by telephone at 541-956-7191(Grants Pass) or 541-245-7552 (Medford). Space is limited, so sign up early.

Tests take approximately 1 ½ hours to complete and you get your results after the test.

No cell phones please.
