uGurus is a Denver, Colorado-based company that builds online communities focused around a single idea: to help people become Gurus. We believe everyone should have the opportunity to become a Guru, and we created this scholarship to empower the next generation of entrepreneurial students.

To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must either be high school seniors who plan to start college in the next year, or students who are currently enrolled in a college or university.
This scholarship is intended for students who are currently enrolled (or who plan to enroll) in a program related to a career as a web professional such as Computer Science or Web Design.
At this time, all eligible applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the U.S. or Canada. The deadline for applications is March 31, 2017, and the winner will be notified via email the following month.

Submit via email to [email protected] ONE Word document or ONE PDF with the following requirements.
The email subject line of your email should follow this format: “Your Name – Web Pro Scholarship”
1) A cover letter that includes your name and contact information.
What school do you attend (or plan to attend)?
Planned year of college graduation.
The URL of your personal website/blog/online portfolio (if you have one).
2) A 500 – 1000 word essay on one of the following topics.
Tell a story about a time when a mentor made an impact on your life.
Describe your goals for the future and how entrepreneurship plays a part in those goals.
Define what you hope your legacy will be.
