- To provide support and encourage Hispanics to continue their higher education, The Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber provides annual scholarship awards to qualifying applicants. Since 1996, the Hispanic Chamber has awarded over $1.8 million in individually and corporate sponsored scholarships, to 738 Latino students throughout Oregon and SW Washington.
Requirements
• Unofficial transcripts for a minimum of two years. If you are a first year college student, please provide your current college transcript, plus your high school transcript. If selected as a 2016 scholarship recipient you will be ask for grade verification by submitting official and certified transcripts.

- General Requirements
1) Applicant must be of Hispanic ancestry, permanently residing in Oregon or Clark County, Washington
2) Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent residents, asylees, or individuals, who are lawfully authorized to work full-time without restriction for any U.S. employer and who, at the time of application, possess lawful evidence of employment authorization.
3) Applicant must have at least a 3.0 GPA as evidenced by a high school or college transcript.
4) Applicants will be evaluated on academics, extra-curricular activities, community service, written essays, and letters of recommendation
5) Applicant must be enrolled by September 2016 in an accredited community college, 4 year college or university, or accredited graduate degree program. - Special Criteria:
