Description:
ARC is proud to sponsor a $500 scholarship to help students take charge of their educational life
In the past 10 years, ARC (Alcohol Recovery Centre) has helped over 800 people move past addiction to lead normal lives. As an authority in addiction recovery, ARC believes in treating our clients with courtesy, empathy and respect to guide them back to a responsible life. With this in mind, ARC is proud to sponsor a $500 scholarship to help students take charge of their educational life.

We have seen firsthand many people who face addiction but have access to little money to fight it. Having a college education is not a cure-all, but obviously having a higher income is a primary benefit of earning a college degree. Furthermore, most jobs requiring a bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral or professional degree tend to also provide more benefits. This can include health care, retirement investment, travel and other perks. A college degree is just one more tool in the arsenal to help down the road, whether for yourself or a family member.

We want you to write a study of several famous people who BEAT addiction or alcoholism at some point in their lives

So, what do you have to do to earn this scholarship? Write an essay, of course! As a UK-based firm, we want you to write a study of several famous people who BEAT addiction or alcoholism at some point in their lives and what they went on to do with their lives. Extra points are given for each famous person you talk about who was or is from the United Kingdom.
