- A total solar eclipse will occur on August 21st, 2017, Monday, that will be visible in a narrow strip across the United States. A solar eclipse takes place when the Moon passes between the Sun and the Earth, totally or partially obscuring the image of Sun for a viewer on Earth. The map on this website shows events where you can safely watch the eclipse. Not all of the events will be inside the path of totality! With 300 million people an easy drive from the path of totality, you will want to pick a spot early.
- The students who are studying in astronomy and space science are eligible for this scholarship program.

- Applying for this scholarship award is easy. Simply write the essay of 400-450 words by giving answers for the following questions:
