How to Apply
To participate, applicants must be currently enrolled in or planning to attend an accredited United States college, university or law school during the 2017-2018 academic year.
Special Criteria:
To participate in the contest, applicants must present a 2-3 minute video essay discussing the following question:
Each week an average of 50 children are involved in a backover accident. A backover accident is most common when a car is backing out of a driveway or parking space. Fortunately, there are proper safety precautions that drivers can take to prevent these non-traffic accidents. Based on your research, what are contributing factors to backover accidents and what safety measures can be taken to prevent backover accidents?
How to Apply
To participate, applicants must be currently enrolled in or planning to attend an accredited United States college, university or law school during the 2017-2018 academic year. People who wish to participate should send their video essay (YouTube format) in an email to [email protected] by August 15, 2017. In the body of the email, applicants should include the following information:
Your name, address, and phone number
If you are under 18, contact information for your parents
The name of the school you are planning on attending and your course of study
The best way to contact you
Once the application period has ended, our staff will review the essays and choose a winner by September 15, 2017. The winner will be chosen considering the following factors:
