Keller Law Offices is proud to announce the 3rd year of its Keller Law Offices Annual Scholarship for Higher Education. The goal of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to a worthy student. We understand that there are a lot of outstanding young people who, without financial assistance, would not be able to go to college. Medical, social or financial obstacles can make higher education a mere dream to some students.

Every year, to help open the door to the world of higher education, Keller Law Offices will offer a $1,000 scholarship to a student who submits the strongest essay focusing on the given topic.

Write an essay of 1,500 words or less on the following topic:

Do you agree with Minnesota’s laws regarding the use of deadly force in self-defense? Explain why. If you disagree with them, discuss what you would want to change.

Your essay must include at least three links to authoritative sources. At least one of these links must be to the post below or to another post on kellerlawoffices.com.

Post the essay to your blog. This can be a student blog on your university website or your own personal blog. If you do not have a blog, you can create one here for free: https://www.blogger.com/

You must be listed as the author of the essay on the website.

Keller Law Offices and kellerlawoffices.com reserve the right to publish the winning essay. Keller Law Offices has the sole right to resolve any disputes which may arise in the selection of the award winner. There will only be one award allotted.

This scholarship is open to any US citizen or permanent US resident who will be enrolled full time in an accredited community college, college or university, or accredited law school in the fall of 2018.
All applications must be filled out and materials received via the form below by July 15, 2018. Applications submitted via any other channel will not be considered. Applications submitted after this date will not be considered. The decision of the committee is final. The winner will be notified by email or phone by August 1 of 2018. Scholarship funds will be disbursed to the college or university in September of 2018.

Our scholarship recipient will also be asked to submit a current photo to be published in an announcement to recognize this year’s winner on our website.
