Allen spent more than 20 years in EMS as a paramedic, educator and administrator. As part of his responsibilities he taught Emergency Vehicle Operations courses to scores of new EMTs. His academic achievements include Bachelor’s degrees in Microbiology and Business Administration, as well as a Master’s degree in Emergency Health Services. Since mostly retiring from EMS in 2008 Allen has been managing a small veterinary practice and continues to consult for a number of other small businesses. Today Allen and his family enjoy doing humanitarian work throughout Latin America when they’re not home enjoying life on their Southern Oregon ranch.
