Illinois Valley Services Interest survey
The renovation and addition to the Kerby Belt building to create the Illinois Valley Business Entrepreneurial Center (IVBEC) will provide existing and emerging small businesses with combined economic development resources from:
- Rogue Community College and its Business Development Center
- Josephine County
- Illinois Valley Community Development Organization (IVCDO)
- SOREDI
The IVBEC, in partnership with above agencies/organizations, will work to develop and energize local business such as:
- the art community (already in existence with SOG)
- agricultural/food producers
- winegrowers/winemakers
- craft community
- producers of fibers
- tourism
The center will service as a broker of knowledge by:
- bringing business process experts to speak to businesses and individuals
- bringing innovative processes and solutions that will make our local emerging and existing businesses competitive in the global market
Other processes and services will include:
- incubation services in partnership with local businesses and developers
- business planning and coaching
- marketing of products via the internet
- photography and graphics
- product presentation and the 4 P’s of marketing (price, product, promotion and place)
- how to maximize sales, financing and loans
- opportunities to network locally and globally
- business training
- business resource/virtual library
- public venue for marketing showcasing events
Providing these services will take advantage of the multiplicity of delivery formats available at the IVBEC from:
- face-to-face coaching
- business events
- outsourcing incubation
- connection to the global community via the existing high speed internet connectivity
