VETERANS EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS

Welcome to Rogue Community College!

Veterans of the United States military and their dependents may be eligible to receive Educational Benefits through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The Veterans Affairs Office in Muskogee, Oklahoma, determines student eligibility each term and is responsible for processing the required eligibility application. Programs at RCC are approved by the State Board of Higher Education State Approving Agency as qualified training for students eligible for Veterans Administration Education Benefits. All applications for federal VA Educational Benefits and enrollment certifications are processed through the VA Regional Office in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

This online information should answer most of your questions about getting started at RCC, as well as how to apply for Educational Benefits through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. On each RCC campus, a Veterans Certifying Official works closely with students to certify their enrollment each term and verify that selected classes fall within the student’s approved degree or certificate program. Veterans must request VA certification each term (including summer sessions). You should contact the RCC Veterans Certifying Official on your campus in order to be certified for break periods or upcoming terms. They will certify your enrollment and forward the request to the regional VA Office in Muskogee, Oklahoma for processing. The VA determines eligibility for Educational Benefits in all cases.
