
The RCC Transition Academy will help high school students with disabilities navigate the college enrollment process and explore their academic options.
This event is made possible through a generous donation from SAFEWAY and the CWST grant; a collaborative effort between RCC and the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation Services.
Place and time of the event:
- Friday, January 18th 9:00a.m.-2:00p.m. at the Redwood Campus of Rogue Community College, Grants Pass, Oregon.
Goal:
- To provide basic knowledge about opportunities and support services available in college and universities
Proposed Activities:
- Hear from current RCC students about what college is really like.
- Learn how college is different from high school.
- Understand the services andprograms available for support while you attend college.
- Receive information about the steps you should be taking now if you want to attend any college or graining program in 2008.
- Meet RCC staff and become familiar with the campus.
- Everyone who attends will receive morning snacks, full lunch and a RCC prize!
The RCC Academy is free!
- Transportation is not provided, therefore students should confirm transportation plans with their local high school teachers
- Participants statewide can attend even if their choice of college is other than Rogue Community College
- Driving directions to RCC Redwood Campus and for a printable map are on the RCC web site.
- First come, first serve! Register Online starting November 28 and ending when 90 registrations are received..
