Notes:
Additional lower division courses may be completed at RCC prior to transfer. See the Transfer Advisor at RCC, the OIT catalog, or department website for the specific courses required in the concentrations.

1. Students apply in the Winter (deadline February 15) for admission to the professional program in September. Prior to September admission, a number of pre-requisite courses must be completed.

2. Prior to applying, students must have completed at least 30 credits (2 terms) of classes. Classes still being taken during winter term do not count towards this requirement.

3. Students accepted to the OHSU Nursing program will spend the next three years (beginning in September) on the OIT campus and clinical sites in the Klamath basin (dually enrolled at OHSU and OIT) completing their nursing courses, clinical training and remaining general coursework, then graduate with their B.S. in Nursing from OHSU. Graduates are well-prepared to pass the NCLEX national licensing exam, whereupon they will be qualified to practice as Registered Nurses in Oregon or other states.

4. Applicants must be admitted to OIT. Admission to OIT is independent of admission to Nursing program.

Additional Requirements:
1. Transfer applicants must have a cumulative 2.5 GPA or better in college-level classes unless they hold an associate's or bachelor's degree already, in which case, only a cumulative 2.0 GPA is required.

2. In order to be admitted to OIT, transfer applicants must complete the equivalent of Math 95 (or higher) and Wr 115 Introduction to Expository Writing (or higher) with grades of "C-" or better.

3. Applicants who do not have an Associate's or Bachelor's degree must have at least 33 college-level credits that are not in Physical Education, and no more than 10 percent of an applicant's credits may be in Physical Education.
