Script Writing Class
In the scriptwriting class, we create an artist's workshop where we generate a scene a week based on an exercise in class. The exercises are meant to keep the ink flowing, and silence your internal critic. In addition, we'll analyze several short plays and short films. Every term, we pick a feature film or indie screenplay to analyze. Students often write surprising scenes in this class that motivate them to produce their work in the Student Playwright Festival. It's exciting to see living, breathing, human actors speaking your lines, and the process is always very rewarding. You can, if you wish, continue on in this class for subsequent terms and complete full-length scripts and screenplays!
