Welcome to spring term updates! We want to help you be successful at RCC. Spring term is right around the corner and this is what you need to know.

Financial Aid
If you have applied for financial aid before March 1 go to www.roguecc.edu/FinancialAid to check your status.

If you have not yet applied for financial aid, we are processing all new (or incoming) applications for summer term 2010 which begins in July.

If you plan to start school on March 30, and have not applied for financial aid, you will have to pay for tuition and books on your own.
Tuition
To register as an in-state student and pay $73 per credit, students must be an Oregon resident for at least 90 days prior to the first day of the term.
Fees
Fees include:
  • Technology fee: $4 per non-credit class and $4 per credit for credit classes.

You are expected to pay in full each term.
Check, cash, and credit card
Payment may be made in cash (U.S. funds only), and by check (personal checks, traveler's check, cashier's check and money orders). Please make checks payable to RCC, and make sure the student's name and student ID number is clearly written on the face of the check.

We also have a payment plan available. You must make your first payment by January 15th.

Straight Talk about How to Make it in College

  • Buy your books before the first day of class. Do not remove the plastic or mark in your books until you know if you are in the right classes.
  • Attend the first week of the term so you are not dropped from your classes.
  • Go to classes every time they meet.
  • Talk to Counseling staff if you are considering dropping any of your classes.
  • Drop your classes before the end of the second week in order to receive a full refund and to avoid owing debt to the college.
  • Inform funding sources such as Rogue Central staff if you are receiving funding from financial aid or community agencies if you drop classes.
  • STAY home if you are sick and e-mail or call your instructors asking what assignments you need to make up while you are absent.
  • Communicate with your instructors regularly about your progress or changes that may affect your classes.
  • Meet with a counselor or advisor in the Counseling Department IMMEDIATELY if your personal, family, or work obligations interfere with your classes.
  • Earn C-grades or better in your classes to be in good standing and to keep your financial aid.
  • REMEMBER: Attend, buy your books, do the work, communicate with the teacher, tell us if you are having problems.
