Phi Theta Kappa is the international society for two-year colleges. It is the largest honor society in American Higher Education, and is one of the largest and most prestigious honor societies in the world.
The requirements of PTK membership include earning a 3.5 cumulative grade point average, completion of 18 transferable credits, and payment of a one-time $65 registration fee. Students are identified by the registrar and qualified students are contacted by email by the national organization. The local chapter holds three membership identification rounds during the year.
