Description
A two-day seminar that introduces students to beekeeping. Students will learn the many roles and functions of bees in a hive and the stages of their lifecycle. This course also covers hive types, environmental factors, maintaining honey bee health, and how to work with local and state ordinances. Tuition includes a textbook as well as some protective equipment. The first class is held in the classroom and the second, a Grants pass apiary.
