Industrial Welding Technology Certificate (45-49 credits)
The one-year certificate and two-year degree will prepare you to start your career as a welder/fabricator, pipe welder, or equipment repairer. Students leaving the program with an AAS degree in Industrial Welding Technology will have a solid foundation in structural steel layout, pipe fitting, and sheet metal pattern development.
The one-year certificate provides the welding skills and fabrication knowledge necessary to gain entry-level employment as a shop welder. Courses required for the certificate will transfer into the AAS degree.
Industrial Welding Technology Career Pathway Certificate (15 credits) plus:
Prerequisites: BT113 Business English I or WR115 Intro to Expository Writing or higher-level composition and an approved 3-4 credit computer science class CS120 or above (or documented proficiency).
