Meet the Officers
President: Emmeline Hall
I am attending RCC, majoring in Health and Physical Education, with an intent to transfer to SOU to complete their Outdoor Adventure Leadership major. Helping get this club started is just another step in the direction I am headed in my education and my future career in outdoor recreation. I am excited to meet others that have a passion for fun in the wilderness and to learn new skills. My hope is that this club will be a big deal at RCC, that it will be a stepping stone for others headed to SOU's AOL program, as well as be a social and educational experience for those that desire the outlet. My favorite outdoor experiences so far have been backpacking, rock climbing, and sea kayaking. Learning how to do these things safely has been enormously beneficial. I couldn't use a map correctly a year ago and didn't even know it! Now I can teach others, and that is valuable to me.

Hi, I am majoring in Nursing, and taking other classes in Fire Science and Emergency Medicine. I am a Firefighter, EMT and a Volunteer with Rogue River Fire District as well as a Volunteer with Jackson County Search and Rescue. I am actually pretty new in this area as I moved here August 2012 from Southern California. I also am a Camp Counselor, and Camp Nurse for a Girl Scout Camp during the Summers out in the 'Middle of Nowhere'. I am love the wilderness and adventure and know a lot about wilderness medicine, search and rescue, swift water rescue and hi-angle rescue. Some outdoor activities I participate/teach in include rock climbing, scuba diving, rafting, archery, paintball, backpacking, motorcycling, hiking, skiing and will participate in anything people can think of outside of these. I have been to 4 continents, 11 countries and 48 states and in all of them I played in the outdoor.
Treasurer: Jeff Howard
I am a student at RCC on the Redwood Campus, and I am pursuing a degree in Psychology. After completing my transfer degree, I plan to continue my education at SOU in the field of psychology. I have lived in Grants Pass for 8 years, I love the Grants Pass and Rogue Valley area. It's such a beautiful and diverse area with so many opportunities to get out and enjoy nature. Outside of my classes and studies, I spend time volunteering with the Josephine County Food Bank and raising my son. I enjoy the outdoors, mostly hiking, exploring, and taking pictures to remember the places that I visit. I am excited about the RCC Outdoor Adventure Club, this is a great opportunity and a great fit here in the Rogue Valley. I am excited to be serving as treasurer, and I look forward to serving my fellow students, faculty, staff, and community!
