Flamur Vehapi received a letter from the former President Bill Clinton.

Vehapi, an RCC graduate now studying at Southern Oregon University, attended a political rally on the Redwood Campus at which Clinton stumped for his wife, then-Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Vehapi talked to the former president and personally thanked him for intervening in the ethnic violence that ravaged his Albanian homeland and drove his family into exile.  more...

When Brice Helm graduated from Grants Pass High School in 2008, he had already earned 19 credits through the Rogue Community College Early College Credit (2+2) program. With more than a term’s worth of courses completed, he enrolled last fall at RCC’s Redwood Campus to take business and general education classes while preparing for transfer to a four-year university “I wasn’t quite ready to leave home,” Helm said, “and Rogue is much more financially reasonable.” more...

Zac Bullard went from being home schooled in Josephine County to studying nanotechnology at Columbia University in New York City—with a stop along the way at Rogue Community College. JoAnn Roberts

Roberts graduated with honors in June 2008 from the Rogue Community College Massage Therapy program, compiling a 3.7 GPA. Now she’s establishing her own practice, Afterglo Massage Therapeutics, and is enjoying every minute. “I love massage therapy. It’s the most rewarding job I’ve ever had,” Roberts said. “For the first time in my life, I have a job that lets me be my own boss, earn a good living, and help make people feel better.” more...

Jenny Jackson discovered a whole new world of education after she enrolled at Rogue Community College. She took a theater arts class, taught by Bobbi Kidder, and gained confidence in herself. When he was studying at Rogue Community College, Mike Wilson didn't realize just how useful the skills he was learning would prove. “Every day I have to write up contracts and estimates for pool and construction jobs,” said Wilson, a 2005 RCC graduate who works for a local pool company and owns and operates a construction company and a pool-cleaning business. more...

Genee Bull

“I never thought I could be a paramedic because I had never seen a woman paramedic on television,” recalls Genee Bull. “But the first people I met at RCC were women instructors, and that made a big difference.”

Today Bull is a full-time paramedic, a field-training officer, and a fill-in supervisor with Mercy Flights. She is also a part-time lab instructor in RCC’s EMT and paramedic classes. more...
