Marketing and Recruitment

Marketing and Recruitment serves RCC by marketing college programs, events and opportunities and by coordinating recruitment activities in the local high schools. The department provides public information to the college and community and handles media relations. The department also functions as a marketing service center, a source of professional assistance in preparing college publications, scheduling promotions, and publicizing and planning events.

Publications
Marketing and Recruitment produces the annual college catalog, the schedule of classes, graduation guides, and other publications promoting the college and its programs. We also help RCC staff members write, design and produce brochures, posters or flyers for their programs and events. See the Graphic Identity and Style Guide for more information. Advertising/Promotions
Marketing and Recruitment creates and schedules institutional ads for print media as well as radio and television ads, Web ads, banners and videos. Media relations
Marketing and Recruitment provides news releases and public service announcements to the local media, collects background information for the press, and handles media inquiries. If you would like publicity for your RCC program or event, see How to Request News Coverage.

Community relations
Marketing and Recruitment handles inquiries from the public about college issues/events and communicates with statewide groups and organizations such as the Oregon Legislature, Oregon Community College Association, and the Office of Community College Services. Recruitment
Admission recruiters coordinate student recruitment activities and help meet strategic enrollment goals by developing and implementing recruiting strategies for college programs. Recruiters communicate with prospective students, parents, employers, and community members, providing information about RCC and its programs, conducting campus tours, placement testing, and developing relationships between the college and local high schools.
