RCC Prerequisites Needed
RCC placement test scores and/or classes will meet the requirements to apply for the PCC MLT Program.
Test OUT of, or complete these classes:
- Reading, Completion of RD30
- Writing, Completion of WR115
- Math, Completion of MTH65
Take these classes at RCC or show having taken them at another college:
- Chemistry, Completion of CHEM 104
- Biology, Completion of BI 101
The placement test is free and there are many times available.
The complete class progression sequence from square one for these prerequisites is:
Reading: Placement test into RD30.
Writing: RD30, WR10, WR20, WR30, then into WR115
Math: RD30, SK8, MTH20, then into MTH65
The sequence to get into the chemistry and biology classes are:
Chemistry: RD30, MTH65, then into CHEM104 Introductory Chemistry I
You must also take CHEM104A lab & CHEM104R recitation. They run the same days, starting right after the CHEM 104 lecture.
Biology: RD30, MTH60, then into BI101 Introduction to Biology I. You must also take BI101A Lab. It runs same days, starting right after the BI101 lecture.
A heads-up, BI101 runs only once a year in the fall term!!
