Keynote Speaker
Erika Giesen has taught Sociology at Rogue Community College since 2002. Previously, she also taught at Southern Oregon University and Pima Community College, specializing in the study of race, class and gender. Ms. Giesen earned an M.A. from the University of Arizona.
Topic Speaker: Challenges for Undocumented Latino Youth
Ron D'Aloisio has worked for the past three years as the Coordinator for the Latino Partnership Program for Southern Oregon, a program of the Oregon Community Foundation. He is an attorney, educator /social worker, and community organizer; and has worked with the Latino and Native American communities for over 40 years.
Topic Speaker: Impacts on Families of Home Foreclosure
Nancie Koerber is the Executive Director and Co-founder of Good Grief America. She assists with research, organizing, intake, attorney recruitment, workshop delivery, writing, fundraising and negotiating. Nancie also has 30 years of experience in real estate and as a small business owner; and is a professional public speaker, trainer, and published writer. She has served on numerous non-profit boards, and has extensive fund raising experience.
Topic Speaker: Issues for Returning Veterans
Louie Ann Goldberg, LCSW, has worked as the Team Leader at the Grants Pass Vet Center, since January 2009, overseeing clinical and administrative functions and providing therapy to combat veterans and veterans suffering with military sexual trauma, her specialty. Ms. Goldberg provided therapy for 18 years to veterans with psychiatric problems at the VA SORCC, in White City. She supervises social workers obtaining licensure and interns getting a MSW degree.
