All staff at RCC are given their own email address and have internet access through computers at staff workstations. Email is used extensively in inter-office and inter-campus communications and for transmitting information or files to all employees. There is an Electronic Information Policy every employee must sign before an account is assigned. This agreement discourages the use of email for frivolous personal communication or chain letters.
The internet is also available on all computers. RCC has it's own T1 connection to the internet, so it loads and accesses web sites at a considerably faster rate than is typically possible via modem. There are also a limited number of modems into the RCC network, so employees can dial into and use the network at home.
