Effective October 1, 2009, Rogue Community College will be offering two plan options through Oregon Educators Benefit Board (OEBB) for employees who are eligible to participate in the group health insurance: ODS Medical Plan 5 ($200 ded) and ODS Medical Plan 7 ($500 ded) . The health insurance plans include medical, prescription, vision, dental, and orthodontic insurance. Chiropractic, Acupuncture, and Naturopathic benefits are also included. 2009-2010 Rates / Eligibility(Effective October 1, 2009 - September 30, 2010) Full-Time Employees Part-Time Classified (20-29 Hours Per Week) Eligible Part-time Adjunct Faculty Eligible part-time adjunct faculty (see eligibility requirements) may participate in RCC’s group health insurance plan. At the end of each term, eligibility is determined, and part-time adjunct faculty will be contacted if they are eligible to participate. The college will contribute sixty percent (60%) of the premium for individual health coverage provided through the college group health insurance plan. Adjunct faculty electing such coverage must reimburse the college for the remaining forty (40) percent of the premium through payroll deduction or direct payment by the first day of each month within the contract period. At their own cost, adjunct faculty may enroll dependents within their own household in the group health plan. If you have questions about your eligibility, be sure to read the Classified Collective Bargaining Agreement or the Faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement Dependents Eligible dependents may only be added during open enrollment except in the case of adding mid-year due to a qualifying event. Ineligible dependents must be dropped within 30 days of becoming ineligible. An employee should contact HR to drop an ineligible dependent. *In accordance with federal regulations, electing coverage for a same-sex domestic partner will result in tax implications on a portion of the health insurance premium.
