Full-Time Employees
Full-Time Management, Full-time Faculty, and Full-time Classified are eligible for RCC's group health insurance coverage. Full-time employees and their eligible dependents are covered under this plan. Please see below for the monthly cost to Full-time employees. The premium is automatically deducted pretax from your paycheck. If you do not want this premium to be deducted pretax, please contact the Human Resource Office at 956-7346.
Part-Time Classified (20-29 Hours Per Week)
Permanent part-time classified employees who work 20-29 hours per week are eligible for single coverage. Part-time classified may choose to add dependents for an additional charge.
Eligible Part-time Adjunct Faculty
Eligible part-time adjunct faculty (see eligibility requirements) may participate in RCC's group health insurance plan. At the end of each term, eligibility is determined, and part-time adjunct faculty will be contacted if they are eligible to participate. The college will contribute sixty percent (60%) of the premium for individual health coverage provided through the college group health insurance plan. Adjunct faculty electing such coverage must reimburse the college for the remaining forty (40) percent of the premium through payroll deduction or direct payment by the first day of each month within the contract period. At their own cost, adjunct faculty may enroll dependents within their own household in the group health plan.
If you have questions regarding Part-time Adjunct Faculty eligibility, please contact Cessa Vichi, Part-time Faculty Contracts Specialist, at (541) 956-7004.
If you have questions about your eligibility, be sure to read the Classified Collective Bargaining Agreement or the Faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement
Dependents
An eligible employee's spouse and/or *same-sex domestic partner is eligible to participate in RCC's group coverage. In most cases, dependent children are eligible until the end of the month following their 26th birthday.
Eligible dependents may only be added during open enrollment except in the case of adding mid-year due to a qualifying event. Ineligible dependents must be dropped within 30 days of becoming ineligible. An employee should contact HR to drop an ineligible dependent.
