A brief overview of what it is and how the program works.
RCC has a list of courses available for high school articulation which have been selected by RCC departments in collaboration with high school teachers. High schools select courses to articulate from the RCC list based on a match with their curriculum and the RCC requirements. RCC and participating high schools sign a contract.
If all class requirements are met, which vary with each course, including earning an A or B for the required coursework and completing the paperwork, the student is awarded college credit through Rogue Community College.
There is no distinction on a student's college transcript between Early College Credit classes taught at the high school and the same class taught at the college. When a student is ready to obtain a copy of their transcript, they can go to the RCC website at www.roguecc.edu, select the High School link under Start Now, and then go to order transcript. They can also contact the registrar's office on either the Redwood or Riverside campuses.
