Financial Aid Grants
Grants are primarily based on financial need and do not have to be repaid. Listed here are federal and state grants that may be available to qualifying RCC students:
Federal Pell Grant (Pell)
Federal Pell Grants are awarded only to students who have not earned a bachelor's or professional degree. For many students, Pell Grants may provide a foundation of financial aid to which other aid may be added.
New as of '09 Summer term, the maximum value of a Federal Pell Grant is going up to $5350 and is now available year-round!
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG)
This grant is for students with exceptional financial need. Priority is given to students who receive a maximum Federal Pell Grant. Funding is limited so apply early.
Oregon Opportunity Grant (OOG)
The Opportunity Grant is awarded to eligible Oregon residents who apply early and are enrolled at least half-time during the Fall, Winter, and/or Spring terms. Eligibility is determined by the Oregon Student Assistance Commission.
Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG)
Federal Pell grant recipients who are attending full time may receive this grant if they are enrolled in a 2 year program. Eligibility is based on completion of rigorous high school program. Sophomores must demonstrate a Freshman GPA of 3.0+.
