Description:
The personal injury attorneys at Warren & Kallianos have seen the devastating outcomes of driver distraction far too many times. We want to raise awareness about this dangerous habit in an effort to end car crashes caused by inattention. Our firm is offering a total of $3,000 in scholarship money to students who write the most insightful essays on the topic of preventing car accidents caused by distracted driving.
The lawyers at Warren & Kallianos appreciate the value of a good education as the foundation for a productive and fulfilling career. We are proud to launch our annual scholarship program to assist young people in furthering their educations.

We invite students from across the United States to enter the competition by submitting an essay. The contest is open to students who meet the following criteria:
• High school juniors and seniors
• Students currently enrolled in 2-year or 4-year colleges or universities
Applicants who are 17 years old or younger need to provide parental consent to enter. International students, those who are not U.S. citizens, and residents of U.S. territories are not eligible. Employees of Warren & Kallianos and their immediate family members are also not eligible.
Special Criteria:
How has distracted driving impacted you personally when it comes to social media, texting and using mobile apps?

What actions can local, state and federal governments take help minimize accidents related to distracted driving without overly restricting personal freedoms?

What can individuals do to hold themselves accountable to driving more safely?

Essays must address one of the above topics and contain at least 500 words, but no more than 1,000. Your essay must be your own original work. Plagiarism is a serious violation and will result in automatic disqualification.
