Description:
The Dunlap, Bennett & Ludwig Scholarship was founded in 2016 to provide you – an undergraduate or graduate student – with a $500 scholarship to help to defray some of your educational expenses. It is the sincere hope that this $500 scholarship will be of use to assist a deserving undergraduate or graduate student to better afford college expenses.

The Dunlap, Bennett & Ludwig Scholarship was created to provide an undergraduate or graduate college student with student government leadership experience with funds to help pay for his or her college education. It is our hope that this $500 award will help a highly deserving college student to fulfill his or her educational dreams. The Dunlap, Bennett & Ludwig Scholarship will be offered in the spring of 2016 and each spring thereafter.

While the scholarship is available to students across the country, students attending the following universities are strongly encouraged to apply. Winners will not automatically be chosen from those attending any of the below universities.

Would you like to be in the running for a $500 scholarship to pay for some of your college bills? Please meet these criteria:
You have to be a US citizen or permanent resident
You are a minimum of 18 years old
You attend college part or full time or will do so this year – undergraduate, graduate and community colleges are acceptable
You did not earn more than $35k in 2015
You have an active Facebook page and email address.
Special Criteria:
All applicants for this $500 scholarship must complete a high quality essay on one of these subjects:
Who do you most admire in your life and how do they influence your future goals?
Why do you want to attend a particular university and how does it align with your career goals?
What movie or book has had the most positive impact upon you and why?
What do you find the most challenging part of college?
If you’ve ever failed in life how did you pick yourself back up?

How to Submit Your Application

The competition for every scholarship is intense, so remember the following about your submission:
You must write your high quality essay yourself.
It must be totally unique.
It cannot have any types or errors.
It must be provided in a Microsoft Word document.
It needs to be 1000-3000 words.

Video Essay Option

You also can also submit a video essay in place of a written essay that covers one of the above topics. Please submit a link to your video to the email address provided later in the instructions. Your video should have high video and audio quality, and it should be at minimum three minutes long; the limit is 10 minutes.
