Description:
Rocky Mountain Mattress Company proudly contributes to The Mark Forester Foundation scholarship fund and is now holding an essay contest; the contest winner will receive a $1000 scholarship in the name of The Mark Forester Foundation.

Mark A. Forester:
Senior Airman, Mark A. Forester was killed September 29th, 2010 in Afghanistan while risking his life to save a fallen comrade.

Mark died serving his country, family and friends. He had courage and honor and gave selfless sacrifice. He embodied everything a hero is. This is why Rocky Mountain Mattress would like to give a scholarship to students in his honor.

Eligibility:
Any student who is currently enrolled in an accredited American university or college, or will be enrolled for the Fall/Summer semester of 2017, can apply for the Mark A. Forester scholarship. The applicant also must be current military or veteran, or child of military/veteran.
Special Criteria:
To enter, the student must write a 300-500-word essay explaining how they go about honoring America's military heroes. You can simply send the essay as a part of the body of your email, no attachments please, with your full name, school you will be attending, and contact information to [email protected].

Background for the Essay:
In 2011, the Mark Forester Foundation began asking Americans to publicly share how they individually "Honor the Heroes" and Rocky Mountain Mattress has been so inspired by some of the responses to this question that we decided to create a scholarship essay contest around the topic.
