Spring 2013 Essay Topic:
Name one published author whom you greatly admire and write about some of the reasons why? Use a book to support your position.
Cite some specific reasons to support your choice. For instance, character qualities exhibited you hold in high esteem, or perhaps a perspective or stance he/she has taken which resonates strongly with you. You can even write about a specific published literary work that has had a lasting impact to inspire you. Your choices are not limited to those reasons and who you select can run the gamut of someone who is extremely high profile and prominent to a lesser known or even very obscure writer. Your subject may be someone who is living or deceased. Since your options are numerous, a great deal of importance will be placed upon how well you build your topic to engage the reader, and include well written examples of support with a level of emotional engagement that rings true.
