The P.E.O. STAR Scholarship is a highly competitive one-time $2,500 scholarship recognizing graduating high school senior women who demonstrate outstanding leadership, academic achievement, extracurricular activities, and community service and who plan to pursue full or part-time post-secondary education in the United States or Canada beginning in the fall following their high school graduation.

A woman is eligible to be recommended for the P.E.O. STAR Scholarship provided she: a. Exhibits excellence in leadership, academics, extracurricular activities, community service, and potential for future success. b. Is in the final academic year (senior year) of her secondary education and is 20 years of age or under by the application deadline of November 30. c. Has a minimum cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale d. Is a citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States or Canada. e. Plans to attend an accredited post-secondary educational institution in the United States or Canada, full-time or part-time, in the fall of the academic year following high school graduation. f. Is recommended by and receives the vote of a local P.E.O. chapter.
Special Criteria:
Online Chapter Recommendation Instructions and Form for the P.E.O. STAR Scholarship are now available on the member's site of the P.E.O. website. Following the online submission by a chapter of the recommendation form and letter, the applicant will be emailed a link to access her part of the application materials.
