Awarded to Oregon High School seniors for their use as fulltime students at any Oregon accredited public, private college, university or trade school. Scholarship recipients must start attendance within 12 months of the award and show proof of enrollment for a minimum of 12 credit hours.

All graduating High School Seniors are eligible with exception of the children or grand children of owners or officers of collection agencies in the State of Oregon.
Special Criteria:
Essay subject is to be 1,000 to 1,500 words: Subject “Credit In The 21st Century”.
Entries must be legible, able to be read in three to five minutes.
Each entry must include the applicant’s full name, address, telephone numbers, full name of his/her parents; and the name and phone number of his/her high school. (Used for notification purposes only.)
Entries are the property of the Oregon Collectors Association Hasson-Newman Memorial Scholarship Fund and may be printed an published in full or in part at the discretion of the Fund.
The finalists will be selected by the Directors of the Scholarship Fund and notified of their selection. All three finalists and their immediate families will be provided with a double-occupancy room during the weekend of the Oregon Collectors Association Spring Convention, usually held in Mid April Finalists must read their essays to those attending the convention to win.
