Who may enroll at RCC?
General Admission
To be admitted to a college program and declare a major you must meet one of the following criteria:
If you do not meet the above admission criteria, and you are 18 years or older, you may be admitted if you meet federal "Ability to Benefit" requirements. Minimum placement test scores to meet ability to benefit from college courses are; 62 (35) in reading, 32 (35) in writing, and 25 (33) in math on the COMPASS (ASSET) placement tests, respectively.

Federal and state financial aid is available only if you are admitted and pursuing a degree, certificate, or transfer program at Rogue Community College
Transfer Students
If you are transferring to RCC from another college, you should apply to have
your transcripts from previous college attendance evaluated at least 6 weeks
prior to your advising session so that your advisor can use the evaluation as
a planning tool. Apply for credit evaluation at Enrollment Services. The placement test may be waived for
if your are transferring as a high school graduate or GED completer based on
successful completion of both college level math and writing, or your college diploma.

Underage Students
If you are under 18 and have not graduated from high school you may enroll for 3 or more credits if you have demonstrate readiness for college by:
Placement test scores that indicate the ability to succeed in entry-level college communication classes (WR115, or BT113, and RD30). and,
have been released from compulsory education by the school district where you live (not required summer term) or have verification of home schooling compliance from Jackson County Education Service District.
If you are under 18 years of age you may enroll in fewer than 3 credits if your classes do not occur during the time that high schools are in session, or you may enroll with the permission of your principal.

International Admission
International admission applications are available online or at the Enrollment Services offices on the Grants Pass or Medford campuses. RCC is authorized under federal law to enroll non-immigrant students.
You will be notified of your admission status by mail after all of your application materials are received and verified. Once accepted, you will be issued an I-20 visa to study at RCC. Residency Policy
Your residence determines the tuition you will pay for classes. The college has three tuition schedules: in-state, out-of-state, and international. At the discretion of Enrollment Services, documentation may be required to establish residency. Items that may be considered valid proof of residency include an Oregon driver's license, county property tax bill, or utility bills (dated ninety days prior to the first day of the term). If you cannot provide any one of the appropriate documents you will be charged tuition as determined by the director of Enrollment and Student Employment Services.
Exchange Agreement
RCC and College of the Redwoods in Eureka, California have an agreement enabling up to 10 RCC students to attend College of the Redwoods at a tuition rate similar to RCC in-state tuition. The purpose of this agreement is to make available academic programs not offered at RCC. These programs include Agricultural Technology, Forestry Technology, Radio Technology, Fisheries Technology, Food Service Technology, Paralegal Studies, Hospitality Services Training, and Fashion Merchandising.
