Fire Science Faculty
Margueritte began her career in the fire service in 1987 when smoke from wildland fires was so bad, daily double football practice was cancelled. During her career at the Oregon Department of Forestry, she experienced dispatch, fire prevention, and engine operations and developed a passion for fire prevention and public education. After ten years of service with ODF and a few years as a volunteer firefighter, she transitioned to the structural fire service in Fire & Life Safety. Since 1999, her career has been focused in fire prevention and public education, plans review, fire inspection and fire investigation. She currently serves as a Division Chief / Fire Marshal with Ashland Fire & Rescue.
During her free time, she enjoys flying, travelling, camping, the outdoors and some theater with her husband Don. She also enjoys spending time with family, photography, card-making and scrapbooking.
