Gary has been involved in Emergency Services since 1982 when he witnessed a serious auto accident and decided to take an EMT course so he would know what to do in an emergency. That was his first step towards a life-long career in EMS, and within a year he was enrolled in a paramedic course. His diverse experience includes urban, suburban, and rural EMS systems. He has worked for private, non-profit, and public entities. He has worked as a Paramedic, Training Officer, Field Supervisor, Flight Paramedic, and Operations Manager. In 2005, Gary became a full-time educator and the head of the RCC EMS Program.
When he isn't working, Gary enjoys rafting, camping, hiking and cycling with his wife and two children.
