Start Strong Cohort: Meet and Greet
Please join Discovery Programs staff for refreshments and information about Start Strong: First Term Cohort Experience. You will 1) hear from past Start Strong students about their experience in the cohort, 2) meet faculty and staff who work with Start Strong Cohort, 3) receive Start Strong registration codes, and 4) meet other interested Start Strong students. If you are unable to attend and want to learn more about Start Strong, please contact Discovery Programs.

You are encouraged to self-refer if you are unsure of your college major and career goals, need assistance developing a plan to finance your education, or need to increase academic or college success skills.
*If your placement test is below prerequisites RD30 and WR30 you will be referred to Adult Basic Education for skill development before enrolling in the Start Strong cohort.
Placement Test Preparation
Placement test prep is an opportunity to learn test taking strategies, refresh existing skills, and access resources to help students prepare for the placement test.
New Student Orientation (NSO)
New student orientation is a one-hour session providing students with enough information to get started at RCC, understand what to expect next, and know where to find the answers to questions. Orientation covers the continuous education cycle: register, pay, attend, seek advising and complete classes. Associated Student Government, Rogue Ambassadors and student employees provide peer support.
Registration labs are offered following each new student orientation to assist students with the registration process. You will learn to shop for classes and check your financial aid status at the registration labs. Additional registration assistance is available on a walk-in-basis at Discovery Programs centers in Grants Pass and Medford.For more information please contact us:
