	The counseling departments, located in the Student Services Buildings of the Redwood Campus and the Riverside Center are open to serve you. Our professional counselors and staff are working to meet the following Counseling Department mission:

	Recognizing the dignity and diversity of every individual, the mission of the Counseling Department is to provide formal and informal services to help students explore and develop individual educational, personal, and professional choices and to broaden their understanding of themselves and others. 	Placement testing Human Development Academic advising for undecided majors and transfer students College transfer information Scholarship information Personal counseling Conflict resolution Counseling for career/life planning Computerized career information: Career Information Services (CIS) Internet access to career, job market, and scholarship information websites Career assessment using the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Strong Interest Inventory, and Microskills Career library Help in choosing a major. Referral for GED. Referral for learning disabilities testing.
