Q - "I notified my instructors that I would not be attending classes. I thought they would drop me. Why didn't that happen?"

A - Notifying your instructor is a courtesy, but instructors are not responsible for managing your schedule, you are. You must take action to drop or add classes. Go online to Student Resources on the college's home page to adjust your schedule of classes immediately when you know that you want to make a change.

Q - "I did not step foot in a classroom, why should I have to pay?"

A - When you register for a class, you are reserving a seat in that class. If you do not formally drop by the published refund deadline (see the academic calendar), you are responsible for the charges for reserving the seat in the class whether you attend the class or not.

Q - "I HAD to stop attending! Why am I being charged and receiving a grade?"

A - If you stop attending without formally dropping or withdrawing, you will receive the grades assigned by your instructor, and you will be liable for all charges on your account. Go online to drop or withdraw from classes as soon as you know that you have to stop attending, then contact Rogue Central Services (541) 956-7501 in Josephine County or (541) 245-7501 in Jackson County to find out what affect this will have on your student account.

Q - "I thought I HAD dropped, so I ignored the bill."

A - If you receive a bill and you think you should not have, DON'T IGNORE IT! It may be that you dropped after the refund deadline, there are charges you didn't know about or there is a mistake on your account. The only way to clear it up is to call (541) 956-7501 in Josephine County or (541) 245-7501 in Jackson County and discuss the bill with a Rogue Central Specialist.

Q - "I never received a bill or notice."

A - RCC mails statements, bills and information to your most recent address on file. It is your responsibility to keep RCC informed of any address or phone number changes. Please remember to keep the college informed of changes to your address and phone numbers so that we can keep you informed.
