Event title: Priority Registration for Winter 2018 - Students who started RCC in Fall 2017
Description:

Register Now2018 Winter Term registration begins November 20 for continuing students.

8 a.m. registration opens for students who started RCC in Fall 2017 at RCC.

Registration continues through January 12, 2018. If a student misses their priority registration date and time, students may register on any scheduled registration day or time after their specific day.

Registration continues through April 12, 2018; however, classes fill fast. Spring term 2018 classes begin April 2, 2018. If a student misses their priority registration date and time, students may register on any scheduled registration day or time after their specific day.

Priority to register is based on the number of credits successfully completed at RCC. It does not include courses attempted or graded F, W, I, AU, Z or NP.  To find the number of credits you've earned, log on to your myRogue account and look for your cumulative credits completed (Crs Com) at the end of your unofficial transcript

RCC's registration procedures:

  • CLASS SIZES ARE LIMITED. Be prepared to select alternative classes or sections.
  • Review the courses on your program planner. They were recommended by your advisor. Look for the red writing stating, "You have an advisor's approval to register for classes through" and ensure that they have the approval to register for Winter 18/19. If the OK to register has expired, speak with your advisor well in advance of your registration day for required advising AND approval to register.  

Note:

  • Spring term 2018 -- April 2 - June 15, 2018.
  • Changes to the schedule of classes may occur after registration.  It is important that students verify their schedule before purchasing books or going to class.
  • Financial aid students can charge for their books at the RCC Bookstores 3/26/18 (Mon.) - 4/11/18 (Wed.)

Description:

Food Drop Off Barrels Arrive At TRC Locations On November 13th through December 1, 2017.

Staff and faculty are encouraged to help our community by donating canned and non-perishable food items.

Drop off in barrels are located in:

  • TRC-178 with Paula Brooks
    AND
  • TRC-108 with Michelle Rhodes

With each donated item you get raffle tickets for a prize. The sooner you donate, the more tickets you get increasing your chances of winning.

  • Week 1 – receive 4 tickets per food item
  • Week 2 – receive 3 tickets per food item
  • Week 3 – receive 2 tickets per food item

All donations will go to the Salvation Army Food Bank, Medford Citadel Corps.

Description:

Information SessionDiscover if a human services career match your goals when you attend a free human services program information session from 5-7 p.m. at the RCC/SOU Higher Education Center at 101 S. Bartlett St. in Medford on the following dates:

  • November 27 in room HEC 225

Attending an information session is a required step in the application procedure for the Human Services limited-entry program; however, the information session is open to anyone who wishes to learn more about the program.

The application process for the Fall 2018 cohort will open on Nov. 20, 2017.

Human services workers provide a wide range of emotional and practical support to help people get through difficult times. The RCC Human Services program provides the training and experience you need to enter this rewarding and demanding field. Program advisers will assist you in deciding which program is right for you based on your interests, aptitudes, and career goals.

Event title: RCC Strings Concert
Description:

Rogue Community College Strings invites you to a concert Monday, November 27, 2017 at 7 p.m. at it's RCC Music Building C in Medford, 130 E. 8th Street (corner of 8th St. and Front St). "The Theme from Schindler's List", "Scheherazade", and "Oblivion" will feature Gary Kroll, violin soloist and conductor of this since 2008. Other selections will include the favorite Adagio for Strings. Free admission - donations accepted.

Event title: Medical Coding Specialist Info Session
Description:

Information Session

The first step in determining whether Medical Coding Specialist is the right educational path for you is to attend a free, 1-hour information session that is open to all current and potential students. Registration is not required. Attending an information session is mandatory for anyone applying for admission to this limited enrollment program.

Event title: RVC: Free performance - Scenes from American Theatre
Description:

RCC Fundamentals of Acting classes Fall 2017The Rogue Community College (RCC) Fundamentals of Acting (TA141, TA142, TA143) classes offers three shows in Medford as students perform for class finals at the RCC Performance Hall on the Riverside Campus, Building C, Room 109 at 130 E. 8th St., Medford on: 

  • Thursday, Nov. 30 - 12:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, Dec. 2 - 1:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Dec. 5 - 12:30m.

The performance is an eclectic collection of scenes from American theatre from plays including Curse of the Starving Class by Sam Shepard, Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams, The Zoo Story by Edward Albee, and Dead Man’s Cell Phone by Sarah Ruhl.

All performances are free to faculty, staff, students, and the public; however, the show is intended for mature audiences as it contains some strong language and violence.

Event title: RVC: Free performance - Improv Comedy show
Description:

RCC Improv classes 2017The Rogue Community College (RCC) Improvisational Theatre (TA144, TA145, TA146) classes offers three comedy shows in Medford as students perform for class finals at the RCC Performance Hall on the Riverside Campus, Building C, Room 109 at 130 E. 8th St., Medford on: 

  • Thursday, Nov. 30 at 3 p.m.
  • Friday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, Dec. 2 at 3 pm.  

Working completely without a script, the courageous team of players will perform improv games, scenes, and songs inspired by suggestions from the audience. The improv shows are fun for the whole family and have become a wonderful tradition at RCC.

All performances are free to faculty, staff, students, and the public.

Event title: TRC: Food Drive
Description:

Food Drop Off Barrels Arrive At TRC Locations On November 13th through December 1, 2017.

Staff and faculty are encouraged to help our community by donating canned and non-perishable food items.

Drop off in barrels are located in:

  • TRC-178 with Paula Brooks
    AND
  • TRC-108 with Michelle Rhodes

With each donated item you get raffle tickets for a prize. The sooner you donate, the more tickets you get increasing your chances of winning.

  • Week 1 – receive 4 tickets per food item
  • Week 2 – receive 3 tickets per food item
  • Week 3 – receive 2 tickets per food item

All donations will go to the Salvation Army Food Bank, Medford Citadel Corps.

RCC Improv classes 2017The Rogue Community College (RCC) Improvisational Theatre (TA144, TA145, TA146) classes offers three comedy shows in Medford as students perform for class finals at the RCC Performance Hall on the Riverside Campus, Building C, Room 109 at 130 E. 8th St., Medford on: 

  • Thursday, Nov. 30 at 3 p.m.
  • Friday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, Dec. 2 at 3 pm.  

Working completely without a script, the courageous team of players will perform improv games, scenes, and songs inspired by suggestions from the audience. The improv shows are fun for the whole family and have become a wonderful tradition at RCC.

All performances are free to faculty, staff, students, and the public.

Register Now2018 Winter Term registration began November 20 for continuing students.

Registration is open through January 12, 2018. If a student misses their priority registration date and time, students may register on any scheduled registration day or time after their specific day.

Winter term 2018 classes begin January 8, 2018. If a student misses their priority registration date and time, students may register on any scheduled registration day or time after their specific day.

Priority to register is based on the number of credits successfully completed at RCC. It does not include courses attempted or graded F, W, I, AU, Z or NP.  To find the number of credits you've earned, log on to your myRogue account and look for your cumulative credits completed (Crs Com) at the end of your unofficial transcript

RCC's registration procedures:

  • CLASS SIZES ARE LIMITED. Be prepared to select alternative classes or sections.
  • Review the courses on your program planner. They were recommended by your advisor. Look for the red writing stating, "You have an advisor's approval to register for classes through" and ensure that they have the approval to register for Winter 18/19. If the OK to register has expired, speak with your advisor well in advance of your registration day for required advising AND approval to register.  

Note:

  • Winter term 2018 -- January 8 - March 23, 2018.
  • Changes to the schedule of classes may occur after registration.  It is important that students verify their schedule before purchasing books or going to class.
  • Financial aid students can charge for their books at the RCC Bookstores 1/2/18 (Tues.) - 1/10/18 4 pm (Wed.)

RCC Fundamentals of Acting classes Fall 2017The Rogue Community College (RCC) Fundamentals of Acting (TA141, TA142, TA143) classes offers three shows in Medford as students perform for class finals at the RCC Performance Hall on the Riverside Campus, Building C, Room 109 at 130 E. 8th St., Medford on:

The performance is an eclectic collection of scenes from American theatre from plays including Curse of the Starving Class by Sam Shepard, Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams, The Zoo Story by Edward Albee, and Dead Man’s Cell Phone by Sarah Ruhl.

All performances are free to faculty, staff, students, and the public; however, the show is intended for mature audiences as it contains some strong language and violence.

Description:

One Easy Application for $18 million in Scholarships. Oregon Office of Student Access and Completion (OSAC) Applications are open for state-sponsored scholarships through March 1, 2018. Apply Today at https://oregonstudentaid.gov/scholarships.aspx.

Scholarship Application Timeline & Deadlines

  1. Early fall: Begin searching and selecting scholarship opportunities in the OSAC Scholarship Catalog. Return often, as new scholarships are always being added.
  2. October: File your FAFSA or ORSAA as soon as possible after October 1. Doing so will ensure you are considered for all scholarships that consider financial need.
  3. November - February: Start your OSAC scholarship application and submit from November through March 1. You can save and come back to your application before you submit.
    • First-time applicants: create an OSAC account and start the OSAC Scholarship Application.
    • Returning applicants: refresh and update your application from last year.
    • High school juniors may start a "test application", but cannot submit until their year of graduation.
  4. February 15*: Early Bird deadline. Complete applications (including transcripts) submitted by this date will be entered into a drawing for one of several $1,000 Early Bird scholarship awards.
  5. March 1*: Final deadline for all materials to be submitted to OSAC.
  6. April - August: Track your application status and scholarship awards in the OSAC Student Portal.
