Event title: RCC Studentsí perform "Gloria" by Antonio Vivaldi

Rogue Community College (RCC) choruses and orchestras from the Redwood and Riverside campuses will combine to perform the exquisite "Gloria" composed by Antonio Vivaldi on Sunday June 11, 2017 at 3 p.m., at the Grants Pass High School Performing Arts Center. Admission is free.

Vivaldi is one of the best-known composers of the Italian Baroque era. The "Gloria" is one of Vivaldi's most popular works. It is a joy to experience the twelve short movements, each based on just one or two lines of text, set to beautifully intertwined melodies and energetic rhythms.

This RCC production features three soprano and two alto soloists. Katrina Johnson will sing the soprano, Rachelle McMahon and Alissa Barry will sing the soprano duet, and Cathy Sue Newins and Jodie Fulton will sing the alto solos.

In addition to the "Gloria," the RCC Orchestra will perform "Meine Eine Kleine Harmony Studie" by Hans Lindner.

The Rogue Singers will present arrangements of "Minuet" and "Adoramus Te" by Johann Sebastian Bach.
