Event title: RWC: RCC Goes Pink
Description:

RCC Ospreys for Breast Cancer Awareness RCC cares about cancer awareness. Early detection saves lives!

Breast Cancer Awareness Event on all three RCC campuses.

Oct. 26, 2017, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Take part in this event to highlight breast cancer awareness and be sure to wear something pink!

  • Asante Three Rivers Medical Center Women’s Imaging will provide important literature.
  • Explore recommended books on display in the library lobbies.
  • Check out discounts on pink items in the bookstore (partial proceeds will be donated to fight cancer).
  • Enjoy some sweet treats.
  • There may even be an Ossie sighting.

Then, throughout the day, post pictures on Rogue Connect of you in your pink. One lucky person in pink will be selected to win a $50 gift basket from the bookstore!

According to Nationalbreastcancer.org, on average, every 2 minutes a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer and 1 woman will die of breast cancer every 13 minutes. Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women. Over 3.3 million breast cancer survivors are alive in the United States today.

Event title: Human Service program information session
Description:

two hands holding heart for RCC's Human Services programDiscover if a human services career match your goals when you attend a free human services program information session from 5-7 p.m. at the RCC/SOU Higher Education Center at 101 S. Bartlett St. in Medford on the following dates:

  • October 26 in room HEC 320
  • November 9 in room HEC 320
  • November 27 in room HEC 225

Attending an information session is a required step in the application procedure for the Human Services limited-entry program; however, the information session is open to anyone who wishes to learn more about the program.

The application process for the Fall 2018 cohort will open on Nov. 20, 2017.

Human services workers provide a wide range of emotional and practical support to help people get through difficult times. The RCC Human Services program provides the training and experience you need to enter this rewarding and demanding field. Program advisers will assist you in deciding which program is right for you based on your interests, aptitudes, and career goals.
