IX.A.010

The Rogue Community College Board of Education shall encourage members of the community to express their opinions and desires either in writing or in person at board meetings as provided for in board agendas.

The Board of Education further recognizes the public’s right to information and will provide the means or the periodic, wide circulation of information throughout the district concerning college programs and courses, needs and progress.

The Board encourages visits to the campus by members of the public.

IX.A.020

All Rogue Community College staff will assist the Board of Education in its efforts to create maximum understanding between the College and the community. The President and administrative staff shall provide leadership and direction (including procedures) to accomplish this purpose.

IX.A.030

All Rogue Community College news releases shall be channeled through the president’s office or a designated representative. The Board of Education chair and the college president are the official college spokespersons and may choose to perform that function or delegate it as appropriate.

Community members shall be invited to serve as members of advisory committees formed for the purpose of improving the programs and services of Rogue Community College.
