RCC Advising
The Advising Department has walk-in advising available at all three campuses. Please visit Rogue Central on your campus to meet with an Academic and Career Coach (ACC) in person on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are unable to come in, you may contact your Academic and Career Coach.
Welcome to Rogue Community College!
The Advising staff are here to help you maximize your college experience. We want to help you succeed whether you are a new or returning student or are currently enrolled. We are here for you!
Your Academic Advisor is determined by the Guided Pathway of your major or your last name if your major is Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer (AAOT) and Associate of General Studies (AGS) majors without a focus/pathway or Undeclared Major. Click the link to see who your Academic and Career Coach is.
If you have a quick question, don't ask around; Ask an Academic and Career Coach!
You may meet with your ACC in person, by phone, via Zoom or by email. Contact your Academic and Career Coach Monday through Friday 9:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.
- Your ACC will receive your email/phone call and response to your question(s).
- During non-peak times, responses can take up to one business day.
- During peak times (registration periods), responses can take up to three business days.
New Students
If this is your first term attending Rogue Community College, you must attend a First Term New Student Group Advising, and New Student Orientation session before you may register for classes.
Current Students
All current students who are actively enrolled right now will need to see their Academic Advisor for clearance before registration opens.
How Priority Registration Works
Your priority registration is based on the number of credits you have completed at RCC.
A few things to know:
- Only successfully completed RCC credits count
- Courses with grades of F, W, AU, NP, Z, or I don’t count toward priority
- Credits earned at other colleges are not included
Want to check your credits?
Log in to myRogue, open your unofficial transcript, and look for “cumulative credits completed (cGPA).”
The more credits you have completed, the earlier you get to register. Which means more class options and a better schedule.
Registration Schedule
Returning Students
If you are a student who has not been enrolled for over three terms, you must meet with your Academic and Career Coach (Advisor) to be cleared to register for the next term.
Transfer Students
Transfer credits from another college are not included in your total RCC credits. This applies whether:
- Option A: You transferred to RCC from another college (please bring your unofficial transcripts from the college you are coming from),
- Option B: You are an RCC student planning to transfer to another college If you plan to transfer, please bring information about the college or program you intend to transfer to when meeting with an advisor.
To register for the next term of classes, you must meet with an Academic and Career Coach to be cleared for registration.
Not sure if you have clearance to register?
Log on to your myRogue student portal, click on Schedule of Classes, and then click on Register. If the box is green, you are cleared to register for the term!
